We were asked to supply standby power to our client for their cardiovascular, metabolic and cancer medical research centres. It was important we kept the new mini cyclotron and other equipment running even when the mains go off which would save hours if not weeks of work from being ruined.

We worked with the client’s main contractor to supply a 500-kVA diesel generator with an integral DEFRA compliant bunded fuel tank. Within the sound attenuated canopy resides everything to keep the researchers work from being lost.

Overall, the equipment we installed consisted of a 500kVA generator, integral DEFRA compliant bunded fuel tank, 81 dB (A) @ 1m sound attenuated canopy, intelligent insight control panel, onboard coolant heater and battery charger and an 800 Amp, 3-phase automatic transfer panel.
